TDG played a private concert 22.09 at the PC Richard & Son Theater in Tribeca (NYC) for contest winners and press. The event was sponsored by IHeartRadio.com, The band played a short set: “The Good Life,” “The Chain” (Fleetwood Mac cover), “Riot,” “Never Too Late,” and the first single off of the band’s new album Life Starts Now, “Break.” Frontman Adam Gontier revealed that the band had recorded the Fleetwood Mac classic “The Chain” for their new album Life Starts Now but it didn’t end up making the final cut. Knowledge: ‘Life Starts Now’ is the third LP from rock royalty Three Days Grace and the follow-up to the massive ‘One-X’, which netted the boys a pair of number one rock singles, success at top 40 radio, and platinum honors. Oh, and let’s not forget the long-awaited release of a Three Days Grace live DVD in 2008. The band unveiled the first single from ‘Life Starts Now’ on September 1 titled “Break” which has already boogied up to active rock’s top ten.

Turn-Ons: :”Bitter Taste” is just about as close to perfect as you’re going to get. Every in and out of this masterpiece is epic, from Neil Sanderson’s Freese-worthy drum performance to gushing, explosive chorus, whose arrangement is absolutely breathtaking. “World So Cold” tingles the senses with a deep, atmospheric body and tone. This mood broadens the scope of “World So Cold”, which allows the strong emotions an expressive, soul-searching Adam Gontier to flow like leaves in a sky, without distracting from the song’s lyrical concreteness. “Last to Know” is absolute genius, a modern rock movement. Although the haunting, entrancing piano-vocal arrangement of lucky number seven is brilliant, it is the purity of “Last to Know” that makes it truly special. Infectious is the rolling, pumping groove earmarking “Goin’ Down.” Adam Gontier anchors “Goin’ Down” by literally doing just that-and that of course is emphasizing the “o” or “ow” sound of the word, chromatically ending each line in hooky 3’s. Since we’re talking vocals, “Without You” needs to be mentioned, as Gontier nails crafty falsettos and takes on bold register variations without missing a beat. Moving back one spot brings us to “Bully”, a song with an eerie, “creeping-up-behind-you” kind of vibe that cunningly carves out a perfect setting. “Lost In You” will most likely be 3DG’s next dance with top 40, but don’t let that fool you. “Lost In You” boasts incredible character, but most importantly this sounds honest, not made to order for multiple platforms of radio.

Turn-Offs: It won’t surprise any if, er, when “Break” becomes the number one rock song in the country. But take away the Three Days Grace tag and “Break” goes from 5th Avenue to Goodwill. “Lost In You” is a great song but it sure borrows quite liberally from Saving Abel’s “She Got Over Me”. “Bully” shouldn’t be here, but that chorus is so whiney that it deserves to be picked on. Also joining “Bully” in the “shouldn’t be here” team is next-door neighbor “Without You”, whose crime of fouling up Adam Gontier’s lights out vocal performance with an overall mediocre composition. For those of you that enjoyed “Riot” you’re in luck, because its identical twin “The Good Life” bats in the 5-spot on ‘Life Starts Now’. “Riot” was the forgettable part of ‘One-X’ so I’ll let you figure out where that ranks “The Good Life” on ‘Life Starts Now’….

Valedictorian: “Bitter Taste”

Salutatorian: “Last to Know”

FAIL: “The Good Life”

Cool Points: “Bitter Taste” is the best song ever to come out of camp Three Days Grace. Of course, that’s just my opinion, but even if you’re not as high on “Bitter Taste” as I am, you have to admit that that song is a BAMF. Guitarist Barry Stock pays homage to Jerry Cantrell on “Someone Who Cares”, sprinkling a little bit of Alice In Chains into his arsenal. Even if Three Days Grace leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, you have to admit the voice that comes out of Adam Gontier’s trap is pretty killer. I consider Gontier to be modern rock’s John Mayer….

Moral of the Story: ‘Life Starts Now’ is aptly titled, as Three Days Grace really do sound reborn on this record. The 3DG that made ‘One-X’ can’t even touch the band that pulled off ‘Life Starts Now’. Yes, Three Days Grace stick to their modern rock guns. And yes, ‘Life Starts Now’ was made to have a crossover-ready sound at times. But Three Days Grace have undeniably manned up on ‘Life Starts Now’, as a few spins of the record will show you just how much of an animal Three Days Grace have become.

Three Days Grace World Album Premiere Broadcast

Things have changed a little since we last got a new album from Three Days Grace.

When One-X came out in the summer of 2006, everyone was still convinced that real estate prices were going to up forever and the Dow Jones was over 11,000 points. Italy was winning the World Cup. Microsoft was still supporting Window 98 and YouTube was still run by a couple of college kids. Meanwhile, Fidel Castro was still running Cuba and Saddam still had the keys to Iraq. So yeah, it’s been a while.

We figured we had to do something special to celebrate the release of Life Starts Now so on Thursday night at 10pm ET, Three Days Grace is going to be the subject of a live continent-wide radio broadcast from a secret command post somewhere near the 49th parallel. The band will play tracks from the new CD (which comes out on the 22nd), a couple of old favourites and take your questions.

Norwood's Three Days Grace will be releasing its third album
Life Starts Now on Sept. 22.

The album was recorded in Vancouver, B. C., and reunites the band with producer Howard Benson.

Break, the first single from Life Starts Now, will be released to radio stations on Sept. 1 at 6 p. m., states a press release.

The rock band, now based out of Toronto, is comprised of Adam Gontier (vocals, guitar), Neil Sanderson (backing vocals, drums), Brad Walst (bass), and Barry Stock (lead guitar).

Their first album, the self titled Three Days Grace,was released in 2003 and generated three hit singles -I Hate Everything About You, Just Like You and Home.

Life Starts Now – new album 22. September 2009!!!

We are stoked to tell you that our new album Life Starts Now will be released on September 22, 2009. Although it has been a long road (from pre-production in January to the start of recording in Vancouver in March, to mixing which literally is just finishing up this week) September is just around the corner. While we are still finalizing the track listing, we can tell you that the first single is called "Break". We can also finally reveal that the ever-popular "KC's Caribbean Takeout" is actually a broken-down version of a song called "World So Cold".

Jesteśmy zadowoleni że możemy powiedzieć wam, ze nasz nowy album "Life Starts Now" będzie wydany 22 września 2009 roku. Pomimo, że była to długa droga (od pre-produkcji w styczniu, rozpoczęcia nagrywania w Vancouver w marcu, do miksowania, które dosłownie jest w trakcie, i zostanie zakończone w tym tygodniu) wrzesień jest tuż za rogiem. A new day brings us new information.

Yesterday was a big day in Three Days Grace world. The final vocal and guitars were completed on the new record. Mixing is scheduled to start on Monday which means we are not too far off on having the record completely finished. Hopefully in the next few weeks we will be able to announce a release date as well as album title. We wanted to thank everyone for their comments from the last update on the website. We are working on the design and layout now and hopefully we can incorporate everyone’s comments.

We look forward to more.

Three Days Grace looking at October release

Three Days Grace is looking at a late October release for its yet-to-be-titled third album, according to Harddrive Radio. A first single from the set will arrive earlier that month, although the song also has yet to be determined. The new disc will follow up the Canadian act's 2006 sophomore effort, One-X, which sold over a million copies and produced three hit singles. Frontman Adam Gontier told us that he thinks the reasons for the band's success so far are simple:

"I think we focused a lot on just trying to write the best music we can, and we've been fortunate to be able to tour and, you know, and support both records that we've put out. And I think that's been a big part of it, you know. We built up a fan base sort of from the ground up, and that really does pay off in the end. And I think it shows when you put out songs and they do well, it's nice."

Three Days Grace toured for the better part of two years behind One-X, but has been largely off the road since spring 2008.

Three of the four singles from One-X, "Animal I Have Become," "Pain" and "Never Too Late," all reached Number One on the rock charts.

Gontier was heard last year as a guest vocalist on "I Don't Care," from Finnish rock cello quartet Apocalyptica's latest effort, Worlds Collide.

A pierwszy singiel z wydania pojawi się najwcześniej w tamtym miesiącu, choć piosenka również nie została jeszcze ustalona. Frontman zespołu Adam Gontier powiedział nam, że jego zdaniem przyczyny sukcesu zespołu są bardzo proste:

KC's Carribean Take Out – new instrumental song…

Three Days Grace started to stream an instrumental song called "KC's Carribean Take Out" through their website.

But what exactly is "KC's Caribbean Take-Out"?
This is the name of the Canadian Restaurant - KC's Caribbean Take-Out, but this is not the first title of the song. Very easily you can identify with the previously released version, called “shell with no soul”.
It seems that the song will go to a official record, since its history is similar to Animal I Have Become. Initially, it was the instrumental

version, but later found itself in an official release.

Pictured here is Adam Gontier, frontman for alternative rock band Three Days Grace. Over the past month, the band has been relentlessly recording their new CD at Bryan Adams' Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, BC, where Adam has been using an ES-335 and a Firebird during sessions.

The band's CDs Three Days Grace and One-X are both Gold in the U.S. and multi-platinum in Canada. Apocalyptica ft. Adam Gontier – “I Don’t Care”

"I Don't Care" is a song by the Finnish cello rock band Apocalyptica, featuring Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace on lead vocals. The song was originally released on Apocalyptica's sixth studio album Worlds Collide on September 14, 2007, but was re-recorded for the U.S. release of said album, and shall also appear on the single release. This re-recording reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for one week and #2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart were it spent a year in the top 20.

As far as the concept of the video goes, "It's going to be a bit freaky," says Eicca. "It'll be surrealistic in many ways, maybe a little bit in the spirit of Tim Burton. There's acrobats, strange-looking people doing strange things. It's going to be shot in an old house where nobody lives; it's a big mansion. It's really spooky. Of course, the director, Lisa Mann, is the only person who really knows at the moment, but it's exciting for us. She really wants to bring out the people inside the band. It feels completely different. It has a really special look."

The video shows the band playing in a decrepit house. The band plays in a small room with a low ceiling (Adam Gontier has to hunch over in order to stand) next the video shows members from the band and other women entering in and out of little doors. In the next scene, it shows the band, Gontier, and more women in a hallway standing still, dancing, walking and playing. Next, there enter three women. In this dance sequence, the women dance around the three cello players, trying to seduce them, but they pay no attention. In a cutaway, it shows the three men playing. Cut back, and the three women sit in their laps. Then it shows the men playing the women like cellos. Next scene shows a friend of Gontier, dancing with a woman trying to push her away. In a cutaway scene continuing from the dance sequence, the women take their cellos away. In the last scene, it shows everybody in a room surrounding a table, eating, drinking, laughing, talking, dancing, and kissing. In the end, the band and Adam Gontier finished playing and a green light is shown shining behind them.
