Three Days Grace is looking at a late October release for its yet-to-be-titled third album, according to Harddrive Radio. A first single from the set will arrive earlier that month, although the song also has yet to be determined. The new disc will follow up the Canadian act's 2006 sophomore effort, One-X, which sold over a million copies and produced three hit singles. Frontman Adam Gontier told us that he thinks the reasons for the band's success so far are simple:
"I think we focused a lot on just trying to write the best music we can, and we've been fortunate to be able to tour and, you know, and support both records that we've put out. And I think that's been a big part of it, you know. We built up a fan base sort of from the ground up, and that really does pay off in the end. And I think it shows when you put out songs and they do well, it's nice."
Three Days Grace toured for the better part of two years behind One-X, but has been largely off the road since spring 2008.
Three of the four singles from One-X, "Animal I Have Become," "Pain" and "Never Too Late," all reached Number One on the rock charts.
Gontier was heard last year as a guest vocalist on "I Don't Care," from Finnish rock cello quartet Apocalyptica's latest effort, Worlds Collide.
Three Days Grace przygląda się końcu października do wypuszczenia swojego jeszcze nie nazwanego (oficjalnie) trzeciego albumu, zgodnie z informacją w Harddrive Radio. A pierwszy singiel z wydania pojawi się najwcześniej w tamtym miesiącu, choć piosenka również nie została jeszcze ustalona. Frontman zespołu Adam Gontier powiedział nam, że jego zdaniem przyczyny sukcesu zespołu są bardzo proste:
"Myślę, że koncentrujemy się na próbach napisania najlepszej muzyki jaką możemy, mieliśmy szczęście że byliśmy w stanie wyjechać w trasę koncertową, i promować obie płyty jakie wydaliśmy. Myślę, że to duża część sukcesu. Stworzyliśmy swego rodzaju fan base od podstaw, i to się opłacało. I myślę, że to pokazuje, kiedy wypuszczasz piosenki one sobie dobrze radzą, to miłe. "
Three Days Grace prowadziło trasę koncertową dobre dwa lata z One-X, zespół był w drodze do wiosny 2008 roku.
Trzy z czterech singli z One-X: "Animal I Have Become", "Pain" i "Never Too Late", osiągnęły pierwszą pozycję w rockowych notowaniach.
Gontier był słuchany w ubiegłym roku jako gościnny wokalista w "I Don't Care", fińskiego rockowego kwartetu wiolonczelistów Apocalyptica z płyty Worlds Collide.
